Tulipa gesneriana
Verona in our heart - this double tulip in tones of lemon sorbet is a real favorite in our gardens. The flowers are large and reminiscent of a peony and it adds a softness and elegance to the garden. This is an early variety that blooms in April-May. It grows about 30-40 cm high and returns year after year.
Flowering time: April-May
Height: 30-40 cm
Number of bulbs: 7 bulbs
Onion size: 12/+
Planting advice
Plant the bulbs in groups of at least 3 bulbs, about 12 cm apart. The bulbs should be planted about three times as deep as their height. Mix some bone meal into the soil for the best start. As soon as the bulbs emerge in spring, spray with TRICO Garden to protect against deer. Pinch off over-bloomed flowers but let the leaves wither so the bulbs can gather strength for next year.
