New company New Botanic launches curated cultivation collections
to take home cultivation to a new level

The cultivation and gardening industry has skyrocketed in recent years, driven by an increased interest in sustainability, self-production and our own well-being - creating something yourself from scratch. New Botanic is now being launched, which offers carefully selected cultivation collections with personal favorites among flower and vegetable seeds, nicely packaged together with cultivation details, knowledge and inspiration. The vision is to create a more beautiful everyday life by awakening the desire for cultivation in more people, but also to lower the barriers to getting started and create the best conditions for success. The ambition is also to organically build a community where those interested in cultivation can share their own journey from seed to plant. Behind the company stands, among others, the garden designer and former fashion designer Nicole Wilson.

New Botanic wants to create more opportunities to grow, regardless of whether you live in an apartment, terraced house or villa, or if you have a balcony, patio or garden. Each collection contains five personally selected seeds that are chosen for their unique qualities and characteristics, both individually but also based on the whole that the seeds together create. The collections also contain cultivation briquettes made of coconut, instead of soil, to make the start of cultivation as smooth as possible. The collections also include simple step-by-step instructions based on our collective knowledge and experience of cultivation and all seeds are test grown in our own gardens to be able to give the very best advice on where and how to grow them.

New Botanic will annually release new cultivation collections. Now in the spring, for S/S 22 we will present six collections – Coco Bouquet Collection, The Black Collection, Botanic Deco Collection, Romantic Bouquet Collection, The Salad Collection and Lace Bouquet Collection.

  • Seeing a seed you planted in the ground yourself start to sprout is nothing short of pure magic. The journey from this little sprout to full-grown plant can sometimes feel long, but the one who waits and nurtures will be enriched in so many ways. Harvesting your own cucumbers in the window or picking bouquets from your own land is difficult. The vision with New Botanic is to get more people to experience that fantastic feeling, says Nicole Wilson.

Swedes' interest in growing their own vegetables and flowers is on the rise. Getting started with your cultivation, regardless of whether it's about finding the right products or getting the right help along the way, is not always so easy.

  • Growing and harvesting your own vegetables and flowers is one of the most beneficial and rewarding things there is. However, the step into the world of cultivation can be a tricky jungle of different seeds and products to choose from. Here New Botanic has an interesting role to play. Based on our personal successes, failures and lessons learned in cultivation, we want to reverse the logic and instead start from the world and conditions of the grower. We will continuously release new seed collections adapted to season, knowledge levels, interest and taste, says Hanna Fallenius.

New Botanic is founded by former fashion designer, now garden designer, Nicole Wilson and the trio behind the communication and branding agency Carve - Hanna Fallenius, Peter Lindgren and Hannes Kerstell. In addition to their professional roles, they are also passionate home growers who fill their villa gardens, balconies and windowsills with flowers and vegetables.

  • I bring with me my experience from both fashion and garden design, where you work with combining different garments or putting plants together to create the best whole regarding both form, color, style and function. But also to work with collection thinking and to conceptualize and visualize an idea of an end result. New Botanic is above all desire- but also design-driven. We want to make cultivation feel simple, joyful and stylish, concludes Nicole Wilson.

Information about New Botanic's cultivation collections

Each collection contains five hand-picked seeds assembled according to a clear idea of an end result. The seeds are packaged in fine seed bags hand-painted by the artist and designer Marika Vaccino Andersson. The collections also contain eco-friendly growing briquettes made of coconut that swell with water to then sow the seeds in, marking sticks to mark the seeds and super simple instructions to get started right away with the cultivation. The content of each collection means that you will be self-sufficient on these selected vegetables and cut flowers for a large part of the season.
