Our Vision

New Botanic was started with a clear idea – we want to get more people to put their fingers in the soil and discover the charm and pleasure of growing and harvesting their own vegetables and flowers. The feelings you develop towards the plants you have managed to grow from seed are something truly special. It is also liberating to shift the focus of your consciousness and put more thought into what you are doing and less into who you are. Cultivation has played an important role for us in such a shift in perspective.

However, entering the world of growing can be a dense jungle of different seeds and products to choose from. Here we want to make a difference. Based on our personal successes, failures and lessons learned in growing, we want to reverse the logic and instead take the world and conditions of the grower as a starting point. We want to make growing accessible to everyone – regardless of previous knowledge level and whether you live in an apartment, townhouse or villa, or if you have a balcony, patio or garden.

Furthermore, choosing plants that together create beautiful wholes in different styles is anything but easy. In her role as a garden designer, this is something Nicole helps her clients with every day.

By sharing our knowledge and experience in growing and garden design, we want to make growing enjoyable, beautiful and accessible to everyone – regardless of previous knowledge level and whether you are going to grow in the garden, on a balcony, patio or in a window. Here you will find composed growing collections in completely different styles and we hope you will find YOUR favorite.

What is New Botanic?

New Botanic offers carefully curated growing collections of flower bouquets and vegetables, beautifully packaged along with growing details, knowledge and inspiration.

Each collection contains five carefully selected seeds by garden designer Nicole Wilson and growing enthusiast Hanna Fallenius. The seeds are selected for their unique qualities and characteristics, both individually and based on the whole that the seeds create together. All seeds are test-grown in our own gardens so that we can give the best advice on where, when and how to grow them. The collections also include growing briquettes made of coconut and clear growing instructions so you can get started right away. The collections are delivered in packages with hand-painted botanical creations created by artist Marika Vaccino.

Who started New Botanic?

New Botanic is founded by former fashion designer, now garden designer, Nicole Wilson aka @newgenerationgardens and the trio behind the communications and branding agency Carve - Hanna Fallenius, Peter Lindgren and Hannes Kerstell. In addition to their professional roles, they all have a passionate interest in growing, cooking, design and interior design.

Nicole and Hanna got to know each other through their daughters who are best friends. They immediately realized that they were both crazy about gardening. Hanna in summer flowers and Nicole in edibles and they quickly became inseparable gardening friends.
