Our sustainability journey

For us at New Botanic, our hearts beat for both cultivation and sustainability. Nature is our main source of inspiration and we strive to make a positive difference and create a greener future through cultivation, one seed and one plant at a time. Sustainability at New Botanic is a journey that never ends. Every day and every decision is a chance to make our world a better place.

We are taking steps in the right direction, for example by making our coconut briquettes from coconut by-products and by having as high a percentage of recycled material as possible in our boxes. But we don't stop there. We are in constant contact with our suppliers on how we can improve our work towards a more sustainable future and we are constantly looking for new ways to reduce our impact on the environment.

But sustainability is not just about the health of the planet, it is also about our own well-being. We believe that when we take care of nature, nature takes care of us. To grow is to follow the rhythm of nature, to let the earth nourish us and the plants around us give us strength and balance. It is a reminder that we are part of a larger ecosystem and that our well-being is intimately connected to the health of the planet.

Some examples of how we work with sustainability:

- We are certified by HS Cerifiering which is accredited according to the international standard ISO 17065. HS Cerifiering is one of five certification bodies in Sweden to which the Swedish National Food Agency has delegated the control of organic food. These certification bodies are in turn also under the control of the Swedish accreditation authority SWEDAC which accredits the control bodies.

  

- 80 percent of our vegetable range is organic.

- Our coconut briquettes are made from waste products from coconut production.
