Hyacinth house
We want to try growing hyacinths in the spring bulb bed. China Pink is an incredibly beautiful variety with long shoots in a pale pink tone. An extra bonus is the lovely scent. Hyacinth can also be planted in a pot that is placed in a cool but frost-free place, e.g. garage or storage room. Take it out when the spring heat comes and wait for the flowering.

Planting advice
Plant the hyacinth bulbs about 3 times as deep as their height. Add a little bone meal to nourish the bulbs. Approximately 7-10 cm between the bulbs. Hyacinth thrives in sun to partial shade and does not like to be wet - make sure the soil is well drained. Let the leaves wither after flowering so the bulbs get new strength for next year.
