Give your indoor crops the right nutrition for a richer harvest

Plant nutrition – the key to healthy and lush plants

Healthy plants require the right balance of light, water and nutrients . When you grow vegetables and flowers in pots – indoors or outdoors – the roots do not have access to the natural nutrients found in the soil. That is why it is extra important to provide nutrients in the right way and at the right time. With thoughtful nutrition you get stronger plants, more flavor, more abundant flowering and a longer harvest period.

When should you start feeding plants?

Start adding nutrients when the plants have their first true leaves . At that point, the seed's own nutrient reserves have run out and the plant needs support to continue growing.

  • Spring and summer: When the light is strong and growth is at its peak, the plants need more nutrition. As a rule of thumb, you can fertilize about once a week (sometimes up to twice, depending on the plant).

  • Autumn and winter: During the darker period, plants grow more slowly and their nutrient needs decrease. Then, a less frequent supply of nutrients is sufficient.

Liquid or pelleted nutrition – what is right for you when?

Both options fulfill their function, but in different contexts:

  • Liquid plant nutrients
Perfect for pre-cultivation, potted plants and when you want to provide fast and precise nutrition . The nutrients are mixed into the water and absorbed directly by the roots - especially effective when the plants are actively growing or need extra support.
Our liquid microbial plant food does more than just add nutrition – it also adds life to the soil. Living microorganisms improve plants’ ability to absorb both nutrients and water, stimulate root growth and contribute to consistent growth, better flowering and a more abundant harvest.

  • Pelleted nutrition
A good choice for transplanting, in pallet collars and larger pots. The nutrients break down slowly and provide a steady supply over time , reducing the need for regular nutrient watering.

Here's how:

  • Water first. Always apply nutrients to moist soil to protect the roots.

  • Dose correctly. Always follow the dosage instructions – too much nutrition can damage the plants.

  • Choose the right nutrition at the right time. Liquid nutrition for fast effect and active growth, pellets for slow and stable supply.

With the right nutrition – and preferably a live plant nutrient that strengthens the plant from the inside – you give your plants the best possible conditions to feel good, grow vigorously and deliver a really nice harvest.
